There are several things that contribute to a frizz-free braid out.  For starters, the hair must be moisturized properly. While braiding the hair, remember to comb the pieces of hair with a fine tooth comb to keep the hair smooth.  Leave an inch of hair un-braided and add perm rods to the ends.  Make sure your hair is completely dry before taking it down.

I've been natural since 2009 and it has taken me awhile to figure out how to get a really defined wash-n-go.  I tried many different products, but when it comes to doing a wash-n-go, my hair only loves Cantu's Leave-In Conditioning Cream, Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel, and unrefined organic coconut oil.  I start my wash-n-go on freshly shampooed hair.  Before adding product, I make sure to fully saturate my hair with water and detangle.  Starting from the back of my head, I apply a decent amount of hair cream to a small section and use my fingers to comb the product through.  Afterwards, I add gel and then seal it with coconut oil.  I do this in small sections until my hair is completely saturated with product.  Do not be afraid to go heavy handed with the cream and gel.  If my hair seems like it's still a little dry, I add some water to activate my curls more.  After all of the product is added, my hair feels weighed down and stretched out.  My curls are elongated at this point.  I scrunch my hair to remove some of the water and then I dry my hair on low heat and low speed, using a diffuser.  I always turn my head to the side or put it down so that my hair can fall into the prongs of the diffuser.  Using a diffuser to dry your curls is very important to achieving a defined wash-n-go.  I noticed that my hair doesn't have frizz whenever I dry my hair with a diffuser instead of letting it air dry.  The diffuser is important because it allows air to be dispersed over a larger area, instead of the air being concentrated on one section.  This way, the curl pattern is not interrupted, which in return reduces frizz.  Whenever I do my wash-n-go this way, I get the best results and it lasts five days.  Try this method out and let me know how it works for you.

I usually try to run 2 miles at least 4 times a week.  Sometimes I can get in 4 miles, but I'm currently focusing on reducing my average pace per mile.  I used to not eat properly before running and would easily end up tired.  Since I started my lifestyle journey, I've learned that what you eat is very important in how you perform in your exercises.  Because 2 miles is considered to be distance running, I make sure to consume carbohydrates, protein, and food high in potassium.  Carbohydrates are important because they restore glycogen in the body, which is responsible for energy storage in the body.  Protein helps will muscles recovery as well as  potassium, which is an electrolyte that is essential to helping your cardiovascular and muscle system function.  My breakfast tacos contain all three elements.  The main source of carbs in the breakfast taco is the potatoes.  The green bell peppers, spinach, and mushrooms are a great source of potassium and the eggs are great for protein.  Listed below is the recipe for my vegetarian breakfast tacos.

I've been using a satin pillowcase by Betty Dain, that I purchased from Sally Beauty Supply store for $10.  I am in love with it.  I decided to switch to a satin pillowcase because my bonnet would always fall off during the night and I didn't like how flat my hair looked in the morning.  I tried using the pineapple method, but my hair is not really long enough to stay preserved over night with this method.  Ever since I started using my satin pillowcase, my wash-n-go, twist out, and braid out started to last longer and I did less fluffing of my hair the next morning.  What I love about sleeping on a satin pillowcase is my hair and skin are less dry because the satin material does not absorb oils like that other materials such as cotton.  Also, the satin creates a more smoother surface therefore my skin and hair receives less friction from tossing and turning during the night.  Less friction helps reduce hair breakage as well as reduce skin irritation due to acne.

I once was in a relationship that started to turn toxic about 9 months before it ended.  The relationship began to turn toxic once we started to be on two different pages sexually.  Usually when I am very stressed out, there's nothing my partner can do to turn me on and sex is the last thing I want.  My desire faded and I tried to explain to my boyfriend what was going on.  Instead of him being understanding, he would try to guilt me into having sex by telling me that I was his woman and that he can't get it from anyone else or that he just want to make love because he really wants intimacy.  Sometimes I would give in to his wants, but would be feeling empty inside.  Then when I did give in, he would always complain about me not being into it or that the sex was not good.  As as sexual assault victim, I told him that it was impossible to be turned on if I'm feeling forced.  His rebuttal would always be that he wasn't a "raper man" and that I'm supposed to give it to him.  I noticed it becoming a problem when his attitude started to change.  He would constantly stay angry and moody when I refused him.  It was so unbearable at times that I would just give in just to diffuse the tension.
